Where does the Peabiru Path pass through?

Imagine a time when the native peoples of South America traversed an ancient route that spanned the continent from east to west, connecting the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific. This trail, known as Caminho do Peabiru, was not just a path, but a historical lifeline that passed through several important cities in Brazil and neighboring countries, playing a fundamental role in circulating goods, ideas and people.

Urandir explains that the route was not just a trade route, but a vibrant cultural artery that fostered exchange and integration between different civilizations. The main trail crossed places such as Asunción, in Paraguay, Foz do Iguaçu, Alto Piquiri, Ivaí, Tibagi, Botucatu, Sorocaba and São Paulo, reaching the region of São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, other branches reached Cananeia and Florianópolis.

Dakila's researcher also states that the primary path connected Cusco, in Peru, to the Brazilian coast at the height of the Captaincy of São Vicente (current state of São Paulo), crossing the territories of Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Brazil.

Over time, much of the Peabiru Path was lost due to urban expansion and the construction of modern roads. However, some sections, such as Peabiru in Paraná, can still be visited.
